Terms of Service & EULA

Welcome to OstoNova ('OstoNova', 'we', 'us', or 'our'). By downloading, accessing, or using the OstoNova app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and End User License Agreement ('EULA'). If you do not agree with these terms, you may not use our application.
OstoNova is available on iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android devices. These Terms govern your license to use the OstoNova application on any supported platform, in accordance with Apple's Standard EULA (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/).
1. No User Accounts
OstoNova does not require, support, or use user accounts.
- There is no registration, sign-in, or sign-up process.
- We do not collect, store, or manage any credentials or personal identity data.
- Since there are no user accounts, we do not provide account-based services such as suspension or termination. However, violation of these Terms may result in the termination of your license to use the application.
2. Health Data and 100% Offline Local Storage
You retain full ownership of all personal data, routine logs, and photographs you create within OstoNova.
- Local Storage: All personal health entries, appliance change intervals, fluid logs, and skin photos are stored exclusively on your physical device.
- No Cloud Storage: OstoNova does not use remote cloud servers to store, sync, transmit, or back up your personal health data.
- Your Responsibility: We do not access, copy, or monitor your personal health records. You are solely responsible for managing and backing up your device data.
3. Non-Clinical Medical Disclaimer
OstoNova is designed as a personal lifestyle, wellness, and routine organization companion for ostomates.
- NOT a Medical Device: OstoNova is NOT a certified medical device and does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or clinical prescriptions.
- Professional Care: The application does not replace professional medical advice from a physician, gastroenterologist, or enterostomal therapy (ET) nurse.
- Emergencies: In the event of a medical emergency, suspected stoma blockage, severe peristomal skin infection, or acute dehydration, contact your doctor or emergency medical services immediately.
4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions (Apple Guideline 3.1.2)
OstoNova offers optional premium features ('OstoNova Pro') via In-App Purchases. All payments, billing, subscriptions, and refunds are handled exclusively by the platform through which you downloaded the app:
- A. iOS (Apple App Store): On iPhone and iPad, all transactions are processed by Apple Inc. via your Apple Account.
- B. Android (Google Play): On Android devices, all transactions are processed by Google LLC via your Google Play Account.
- C. Auto-Renewing Subscriptions: OstoNova Pro is available via Monthly and Annual auto-renewing subscriptions.
- Payment is charged to your store account (Apple ID / Google Play) at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Renewal charges are applied within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current price.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in your Apple Account settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on iOS) or Google Play Account settings (Android) to avoid future charges.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when purchasing a subscription.
- D. Lifetime Purchase: OstoNova Pro is also available as an optional one-time Lifetime In-App Purchase (single payment, no recurring subscription).
5. Standard Apple EULA Terms
You acknowledge that this agreement is concluded between you and OstoNova only, and not with Apple Inc. OstoNova is solely responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish maintenance or support services. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no warranty obligation whatsoever. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA.
